Major blockchain security platform Immunefi has launched Magnus, its AI-powered security orchestration platform.
Per the press release shared with Cryptonews, the novel platform unites threat intelligence and automates security operations across a protocol’s security stack, maximizing protection.
Furthermore, Immunefi is partnering with auditors, security researchers, service providers, and tooling companies to provide a comprehensive security platform.
Notably, the team says it has already joined hands with major security providers to integrate with Magnus. These include Nexus Mutual, Halborn, Sigma Prime, and Asymmetric Research, among others.
They also plan to announce additional partnerships with “a number of top-tier security service and tooling providers.”
Meanwhile, to launch this new platform, Immunefi has integrated its bug bounty products and audit competitions, while also leveraging its multi-year experience securing over $190 billion in assets across a network of 500 projects.
Therefore, Magnus launches with three core features. The first is the unified security toolstack: an integrated suite of “best-in-class” security solutions that enable protocols to detect and mitigate threats “at any stage.” This includes solutions such as firewall, onchain monitoring, audits, vulnerability scanning, bug bounty programs, and more.
Additionally, Magnus features the security swarm. This is an automation engine that “orchestrates task-specific AI agents” to allow instant threat response, “drastically reducing manual workloads,” says the announcement. With additional tools, it will grow more autonomous to safeguard the funds.
Lastly, there is CODEX, described as “the industry’s largest and most comprehensive onchain vulnerability dataset.” It is proprietary to Immunefi. The team built it by processing over 90% of all industry reports and additional materials related to onchain bug bounties.
Per Immunefi, “CODEX powers AI security models, allowing protocols to train and refine AI agents for onchain security applications, advanced threat detection, and defense.”
The Immunefi team states that the current onchain security is fragmented and inefficient. The issue, they say, is relying on manual workflows. These can’t “keep up with the relentless pace of threats the ecosystem faces 24/7.”
They do not see this improving. If anything, it will get worse as liquidity spreads across a growing number of protocols. It will become increasingly difficult to secure the ecosystem, leaving it vulnerable to exploits.
Subsequently, this will increase the distrust in the safety of digital assets, thus obstructing the adoption and growth of the onchain economy. In short, per the team, “if security remains fragmented, the next trillion dollars in finance won’t move onchain.”
However, there is a solution: addressing the issue and mitigating threats at scale by unifying security into a single platform that enables protocols to access, automate, and coordinate best-in-class security tools, Immunefi says. It argues that Magnus can do just that.
“Security must evolve as fast as the onchain economy itself, or the industry will remain trapped in a cycle of catastrophic breaches,” said Mitchell Amador, Immunefi’s Founder and CEO.
Per the CEO, the new platform is the first instance of Web3 security being addressed as a united and effective system instead of “a patchwork of tools.”
“We’re transforming the way the security industry works altogether and equipping protocol teams with the ability to anticipate, prevent, and respond to threats at unprecedented speed and scale. All from a single platform, with technology that will continue to evolve alongside the industry and its projects,” Amador concludes.
