Despite the momentary confusion, Fetterman was quick to clarify that he sees no actual reason to abandon the Democratic Party. Addressing those who believe he may eventually switch parties or face internal backlash, Fetterman noted that he recognizes there is likely no viable electoral path for him as a Republican. Nevertheless, he remained candid about his standing within the Democratic caucus, suggesting that if the party ever decided to expel or vote him out due to his diverging views, they would be entirely within their rights to do so.
